Blackthorn / Prunus spinosa
A well-established yamadori collected from a dry and exposed hillside. For decades, it grew among grazing sheep, which from time to time gave the tree some natural pruning and helped create its basic structure.
The harsh conditions are clearly visible in the old, rough bark — something blackthorns can develop beautifully when growing in places like this.
Collected around 2020 and well established since then. In 2025, it was transplanted into a handmade European ceramic pot. The tree is healthy and ready for further development.
